Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La raccolta delle zucche, ca. 1884 by Giovanni Segantini was sold in the Swiss Art Sale auction at Christies in Geneva in September 2014. The price achieved of CHF 264,000.00 (€ 218,801.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CHF 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giovanni Segantini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le due madri, 1891 in March 2011 with an auction result of CHF 1,440,000.00 (€ 1,108,707.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La raccolta delle zucche, ca. 1884 von Giovanni Segantini wurde im September 2014 in der Auktion Swiss Art Sale bei Christies in Genf versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von CHF 264.000,00 (€ 218.801,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit CHF 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giovanni Segantini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le due madri, 1891 im März 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 1.440.000,00 (€ 1.108.707,61).
