Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Orientalist and Spanish Art, which included the work Two Arab horsemen by Giulio Rosati. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,762.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giulio Rosati achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Picking the Favorite in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 512,000.00 (€ 605,558.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Orientalist and Spanish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Arab horsemen von Giulio Rosati zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.762,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giulio Rosati erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Picking the Favorite im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 512.000,00 (€ 605.558,84).
