The work Five-Character Couplet in Running Script by Guan Shanyue was worth HKD 161,000.00 (€ 16,575.42) to a buyer in October 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Shanyue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sketching in the Qilian Mountains in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 9,390,000.00 (€ 931,191.87).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas bei China Guardian in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Shanyue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sketching in the Qilian Mountains im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.390.000,00 (€ 931.191,87).
