This artwork by Guan Shanyue achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2013. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape sold for USD 87,500.00 (€ 64,647.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guan Shanyue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sketching in the Qilian Mountains in May 2013 with an auction result of HKD 9,390,000.00 (€ 931,191.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guan Shanyue erzielte im September 2013 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape für USD 87.500,00 (€ 64.647,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guan Shanyue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sketching in the Qilian Mountains im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.390.000,00 (€ 931.191,87).
