Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A rocky coastline, possibly Capri by Guido Odierna was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PAINTINGS auction at Christies in London in March 2001. The price achieved of GBP 646.25 (€ 1,042.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Guido Odierna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishing vessels off Capri at dusk; and Waves breaking on the rocks, Capri in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,956.71).
