Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Red Rose by Guillaume Seignac was sold in the European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 42,500.00 (€ 35,720.29) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Guillaume Seignac have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work French l'Abandon in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 157,250.00 (€ 191,230.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Red Rose von Guillaume Seignac wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 42.500,00 (€ 35.720,29) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guillaume Seignac auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit French l'Abandon im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 157.250,00 (€ 191.230,64).
