Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online, which included this untitled work by Gulam Rasool Santosh. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,731.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gulam Rasool Santosh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 108,151.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gulam Rasool Santosh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.731,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gulam Rasool Santosh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 108.151,27).
