Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Danish Der Holdes Et Hvil (The Rest) by Hans Andersen Brendekilde. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,142.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Andersen Brendekilde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danish De Første Anemoner (The First Anemones) in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 114,500.00 (€ 73,586.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Danish Der Holdes Et Hvil (The Rest) von Hans Andersen Brendekilde zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.142,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Andersen Brendekilde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Danish De Første Anemoner (The First Anemones) im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 114.500,00 (€ 73.586,12).
