Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work The Peasant’S Feast, Or: The Twelve Months by Hans Sebald Beham. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,345.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Sebald Beham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Recto: A Putto Standing Beside A Flaming Urn Verso: Four Studies Of Men'S Heads in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 48,000.00 (€ 71,291.08).
