Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Hendra Gunawan could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Landscape With Buffaloes changed hands for HKD 937,500.00 (€ 105,563.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hendra Gunawan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Perang Kemerdekaan (Ali Sadikin During The Independence Struggle) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 33,240,000.00 (€ 3,744,983.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hendra Gunawan konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Landscape With Buffaloes für HKD 937.500,00 (€ 105.563,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hendra Gunawan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ali Sadikin Pada Masa Perang Kemerdekaan (Ali Sadikin During The Independence Struggle) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 33.240.000,00 (€ 3.744.983,83).
