Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Henri Cartier-Bresson could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the MoMA: Henri Cartier-Bresson auction, the work Uruapan, Mexico, 1934 changed hands for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,756.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Cartier-Bresson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the Banks of the Marne, France in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 212,500.00 (€ 195,043.60).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henri Cartier-Bresson konnte im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion MoMA: Henri Cartier-Bresson wechselte die Arbeit Uruapan, Mexico, 1934 für USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.756,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Cartier-Bresson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On the Banks of the Marne, France im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 212.500,00 (€ 195.043,60).
