This artwork by Henri Duvieux achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2002. In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction, the work A gondola on the lagoon before Piazza St. Marco sold for GBP 4,465.00 (€ 7,336.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Duvieux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Istanbul, which sold at auction in June 2013 for EUR 15,588.00.

Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Duvieux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Istanbul beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für EUR 15.588,00 versteigert wurde.
