Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henri Joseph Harpignies could be acquired at Christies in London in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Five Private Collections auction, the work Clérieux changed hands for GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,257.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Joseph Harpignies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue prise dans l'île de Capri, Golfe de Naples in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 160,000.00 (€ 171,526.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henri Joseph Harpignies konnte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Five Private Collections wechselte die Arbeit Clérieux für GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.257,00) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Joseph Harpignies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vue prise dans l'île de Capri, Golfe de Naples im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 160.000,00 (€ 171.526,59).
