Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Henri Joseph Harpignies could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The European Art Sale auction, the work Un lac au clair de lune changed hands for USD 8,820.00 (€ 7,635.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Joseph Harpignies achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue prise dans l'île de Capri, Golfe de Naples in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 160,000.00 (€ 171,526.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henri Joseph Harpignies konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The European Art Sale wechselte die Arbeit Un lac au clair de lune für USD 8.820,00 (€ 7.635,04) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Joseph Harpignies erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vue prise dans l'île de Capri, Golfe de Naples im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 160.000,00 (€ 171.526,59).
