Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Henri Matisse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2013. In the Vintage Posters auction, the work Nice sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,092.05) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Matisse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Odalisque couchée aux magnolias in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 80,750,000.00 (€ 69,194,515.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henri Matisse erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Vintage Posters wurde die Arbeit Nice für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.092,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Matisse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Odalisque couchée aux magnolias im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.750.000,00 (€ 69.194.515,85).
