It achieved a price of USD 11,340.00 (€ 10,696.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 62%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Matisse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Odalisque couchée aux magnolias in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 80,750,000.00 (€ 69,194,515.85).

Die Arbeit Nu assis, le dos vu de trois-quarts von Henri Matisse wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion Matisse on Paper: Prints & Drawings from the Matisse Family Collections, Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 11.340,00 (€ 10.696,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 62%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Matisse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Odalisque couchée aux magnolias im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 80.750.000,00 (€ 69.194.515,85).
