In October 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Reclining Brittany Spaniel by Henry Bernard Chalon for USD 358.50 (€ 281.26). This price was achieved in the auction Property from the Collection of Peggy N. and Roger G. Gerry, at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Bernard Chalon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Reverend George Bower, The Reverend John Bower, Robert Bower of Welham And Robert Bower Junior At The Steps of Welham Hall, Yorkshire in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 66,561.15).
