In April 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Fine 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Bite by Henry Lejeune. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 19,120.00 (€ 15,570.03). With this result, A Bite is even the most expensive work of art by Henry Lejeune that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Bite von Henry Lejeune zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 19.120,00 (€ 15.570,03) einen neuen Besitzer.
