Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Huang Huanwu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2017. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Clouds in the Yellow Mountains sold for USD 11,875 (€ 11,100) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000. Admittedly, works by Huang Huanwu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 620,000 (€ 53,880).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Huanwu erzielte im März 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Clouds in the Yellow Mountains für USD 11.875 (€ 11.100) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Huanwu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 620.000 (€ 53.880).
