The work Waterfall in Mountains by Huang Junbi was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It achieved a price of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,609.22), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Junbi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lofty Mountains Amidst Clouds in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 5,020,000.00 (€ 552,510.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 64 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Waterfall in Mountains von Huang Junbi wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.609,22) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Junbi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lofty Mountains Amidst Clouds im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.020.000,00 (€ 552.510,30).
