This artwork by Huang Yongyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Lotus under Moonlight sold for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 76,443.03) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Yongyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Scenery in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 19,300,000.00 (€ 2,077,937.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Yongyu erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Lotus under Moonlight für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 76.443,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 350.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Yongyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Scenery im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 19.300.000,00 (€ 2.077.937,47).
