Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work The Magnificent Lotus Pond by Huang Yongyu. The price achieved of HKD 3,250,000.00 (€ 361,367.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,700,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Yongyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Autumn Scenery in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 19,300,000.00 (€ 2,077,937.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Magnificent Lotus Pond von Huang Yongyu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 3.250.000,00 (€ 361.367,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.700.000,00 – 3.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Yongyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Autumn Scenery im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 19.300.000,00 (€ 2.077.937,47).
