This artwork by Isaac de Moucheron achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2010. In the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction, the work Putti studying a landscape painting sold for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 25,550.73) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isaac de Moucheron have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of the Vatican, Rome, with the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica, from the Janiculum in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 215,579.01).
