Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Sumerian Queen) by Ismail Fattah was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art Online Sale auction at Bonhams in London in December 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,562.50 (€ 8,937.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ismail Fattah achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 156,674.52).
