Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The Agony In The Garden by Jacob van Loo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,593.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob van Loo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Danaë in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 275,000.00 (€ 244,857.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Agony In The Garden von Jacob van Loo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.593,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob van Loo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Danaë im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 275.000,00 (€ 244.857,98).
