In the Natural History auction, the work La Perruche à Epaulettes jaune -- probably a variety of a Psittacula species, possibly the Plum-headed Parakeet Psittacula cyanocephala. sold for GBP 28,200.00 (€ 46,091.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques Barraband - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Troisième variété du perroquet cendré - The Grey Parrot - Psittacus erithacus., which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 91,750.00 (€ 145,435.04).
