The work Frenchvillage In The Atlas by Jacques Majorelle was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 106,250.00 (€ 121,007.43), 52% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Majorelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Kasbah Rouge (Freija), 1924 in June 2011 with an auction result of EUR 1,280,450.00.

Die Arbeit Frenchvillage In The Atlas von Jacques Majorelle wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 121.007,43) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Majorelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Kasbah Rouge (Freija), 1924 im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.280.450,00.
