Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jadé Fadojutimi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March this year. In the The Now Evening Auction auction, the work Let me just button up this veiled hope sold for GBP 415,800 (€ 492,978) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 180,000. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jadé Fadojutimi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Myths of Pleasure, which sold at auction in October last year for GBP 1,172,000 (€ 1,388,503).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jadé Fadojutimi erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Now Evening Auction wurde die Arbeit Let me just button up this veiled hope für GBP 415.800 (€ 492.978) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000. Für andere Arbeiten von Jadé Fadojutimi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Myths of Pleasure beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für GBP 1.172.000 (€ 1.388.503) versteigert wurde.
