In the AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART auction, the work The young shepherd boy sold for GBP 1,792.50 (€ 2,683.21) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Admittedly, works by James John Hill have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Fern Gatherers in October 2004 with an auction result of USD 23,900.00 (€ 18,750.98).
