In February 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Picures, which included the work Figures Smoking And Drinking In A Tavern by Jan Baptist Lambrechts. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,000.38). Admittedly, works by Jan Baptist Lambrechts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A family hunting group outside a Neoclassical mansion in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 8,365.00 (€ 12,039.54).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im Februar 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Picures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures Smoking And Drinking In A Tavern von Jan Baptist Lambrechts zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.000,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Baptist Lambrechts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A family hunting group outside a Neoclassical mansion im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.365,00 (€ 12.039,54).
