Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work The Bath of Bathsheba by Jan de Braij for USD 170,500.00 (€ 133,161.51). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Jan de Braij have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2015 by the work A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers at GBP 125,000.00 (€ 177,208.02).

Andere Arbeiten von Jan de Braij wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juli 2015 die Arbeit A Violin Player Accompanying Two Young Singers mit GBP 125.000,00 (€ 177.208,02).
