Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Modern Art, which included the work A still life with fruits by Jan Sluijters. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 2,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 18,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Sluijters achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maannacht III in November 2010 with an auction result of EUR 421,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A still life with fruits von Jan Sluijters zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 18.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Sluijters erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maannacht III im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 421.000,00.
