Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection, which included the work Study For A Portrait Of A Seated Lady by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,911.62) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 2,081,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Including drawings from the Oppé Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study For A Portrait Of A Seated Lady von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.911,62) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.081.000,00.
