Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction European Art Part II, which included the work Aurora by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 52,500.00 (€ 45,075.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ugolin in March 2019 with an auction result of EUR 455,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion European Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Aurora von Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 52.500,00 (€ 45.075,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ugolin im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 455.400,00.
