In December 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, which included the work LE RIEUR AUX PAMPRES by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,820.00 47% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ugolin in March 2019 with an auction result of EUR 455,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 47 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit LE RIEUR AUX PAMPRES von Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.820,00 und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ugolin im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 455.400,00.
