Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Sothebys in Paris held the auction 20th Century Decorative Arts & Design, which included the work Nymphe À La Source De Jouvence, 1927 by Jean Dupas. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 16,250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dupas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'L'Enlèvement D'Europe', 1928, Paire De Tableaux Dans Leurs Cadres D'Origine Dessinés Par L'Artiste in May 2014 with an auction result of EUR 217,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion 20th Century Decorative Arts & Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nymphe À La Source De Jouvence, 1927 von Jean Dupas zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 16.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Dupas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'L'Enlèvement D'Europe', 1928, Paire De Tableaux Dans Leurs Cadres D'Origine Dessinés Par L'Artiste im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 217.500,00.
