Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work L'Heureux Ménage ('The Happy Household') by Jean-Honoré Fragonard for USD 1,205,000.00 (€ 1,053,229.61). This price was achieved in the auction Revolution at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jean-Honoré Fragonard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Verrou (The Bolt) in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,172,000.00 (€ 7,681,613.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit L'Heureux Ménage ('The Happy Household') von Jean-Honoré Fragonard für USD 1.205.000,00 (€ 1.053.229,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Revolution bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Honoré Fragonard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le Verrou (The Bolt) im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.172.000,00 (€ 7.681.613,89).
