A top price for Joaquin Peinado
When the work Bodegón by Joaquin Peinado was auctioned at Christies in Madrid in October 2005, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 12,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at EUR 38,400.00. This high result makes Bodegón the most expensive artwork by Joaquin Peinado that we have observed at auctions so far.
