Auction result well in line with expectations
The work That's Me Pumpkin by John George Brown was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2018. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 41,950.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John George Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Thrilling Moment in January this year with an auction result of USD 819,000.00 (€ 754,282.56).
