Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work The harbour at Dover by John Henderson for GBP 35.85 (€ 53.66). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Henderson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Type in July 2019 with an auction result of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,723.27).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The harbour at Dover von John Henderson für GBP 35,85 (€ 53,66) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Henderson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Type im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.723,27).
