Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Pictures, which included the work Alpine Landscape, France by John MacLauchlan Milne. The price achieved of GBP 17,300.00 (€ 22,006.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by John MacLauchlan Milne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work St Paul de Vence in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 107,100.00 (€ 125,745.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Alpine Landscape, France von John MacLauchlan Milne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.300,00 (€ 22.006,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John MacLauchlan Milne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit St Paul de Vence im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 107.100,00 (€ 125.745,48).
