Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Niton, Isle of Wight by John Piper was sold in the Modern/British & Irish Art auction at Christies in London in November 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,689.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Piper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract Painting, 1935 in November 2015 with an auction result of GBP 362,500.00 (€ 516,327.40).

Die Arbeit Niton, Isle of Wight von John Piper wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Modern/British & Irish Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 12.689,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00.
