Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Lower Part of Corra Lynn, One of The Falls of The Clyde, Lanarkshire by John White Abbott was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2007. The price achieved of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,794.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by John White Abbott have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ugbrooke, Devon in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 55,564.16).

Die Arbeit The Lower Part of Corra Lynn, One of The Falls of The Clyde, Lanarkshire von John White Abbott kam im Juni 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.794,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John White Abbott auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ugbrooke, Devon im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.400,00 (€ 55.564,16).
