Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Barrage by Joseph Stella was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,375 (€ 8,049) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000 - 10,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Stella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree of My Life in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,937,500 (€ 5,243,752).

Die Arbeit Barrage von Joseph Stella kam im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.375 (€ 8.049) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000 – 10.000. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Stella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree of My Life im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.937.500 (€ 5.243.752).
