Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brooklyn Bridge by Joseph Stella was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 43,750 (€ 39,704) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as USD 30,000 - 50,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Stella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tree of My Life in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 5,937,500 (€ 5,243,752).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Brooklyn Bridge von Joseph Stella wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.750 (€ 39.704) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000 – 50.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Stella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tree of My Life im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.937.500 (€ 5.243.752).
