Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Kadhim Haider achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in March 2016. In the Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art Now and Ten auction, the work Al Buraq sold for USD 545,000.00 (€ 478,489.90) - well above the upper estimate of USD 250,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kadhim Haider; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Al Qamar sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of GBP 635,400.00 (€ 739,292.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kadhim Haider erzielte im März 2016 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art Now and Ten wurde die Arbeit Al Buraq für USD 545.000,00 (€ 478.489,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 250.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kadhim Haider; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Al Qamar im Mai diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 635.400,00 (€ 739.292,13).
