It achieved a price of HKD 106,200.00 (€ 11,205.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kang Youwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 5,660,000.00 (€ 589,621.48).

Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Kang Youwei kam im April 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 106.200,00 (€ 11.205,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kang Youwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.660.000,00 (€ 589.621,48).
