Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Kang Youwei was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,342.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,500.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kang Youwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 5,660,000.00 (€ 589,621.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Kang Youwei wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.342,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.500,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kang Youwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.660.000,00 (€ 589.621,48).
