Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Deux têtes by Karel Appel was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 48,640.00 (€ 56,608.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karel Appel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two birds and a Flower in December 2012 with an auction result of EUR 841,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Deux têtes von Karel Appel kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 48.640,00 (€ 56.608,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karel Appel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two birds and a Flower im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 841.000,00.
