In March 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A flooded Norfolk landscape by Karl Heffner. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,256.25) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Heffner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Dutch waterway at dusk, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,238.11).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A flooded Norfolk landscape von Karl Heffner zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.256,25) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Heffner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Dutch waterway at dusk beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.238,11) versteigert wurde.
